Fees and Insurance
Insurance Coverage
Many of our clients use their insurance to help pay for their sessions. We are currently in-network with most Aetna, Cigna, Horizon BCBS, and UnitedHealthcare plans, as well as Medicare.
Our new billing process requires that clients keep a credit/debit or benefits card on file with our office, which gets charged their copay/coinsurance or applicable deductible after every session.

Psychotherapy Fees
We operate as a “cashless” practice. Our clients pay by credit/debit cards stored securely on file or through their patient portal. Without using one’s insurance, or if we are not in-network with one’s insurance, here is a list of our fees:
- Initial consultation: $225
- Ongoing individual therapy sessions: $170 per visit (45-50 minutes)
- Extended individual sessions: $200 per visit
- Couples and Family Therapy: $200 per visit (60 minutes)
- Scheduling Fee for Cancelled Sessions within 24 hours: $50
- Scheduling Fee for Non-Cancelled Skipped Appointment: $75
- Letters/Collateral Consultations: $170 per hour prorated
- Parent Coordination: $250 per hour
At times, our practice may offer a reduced rate for clients with no insurance or insurance that we are not in-network with, in cases of hardship.
Biofeedback Fees
If a client is currently being seen for therapy at IPG, Biofeedback services can be added and covered by insurance. We also have an new option for clients not in counseling to also use their insurance coverage. Normal fees, without insurance, are below.
- Initial evaluation and first treatment: $250 (approx. 75-90 minutes)
- Regular follow-up session 45-60 min: $200
- Brief follow-up session 30 min: $125
- 6-session Package: $900 ($150 per session)
- 10-session package: $1300 for 10 sessions, ($130 per session)
- Scheduling Fee (for skipped sessions not cancelled with 24 hours advance notice): $50
Group Therapy and Skills Workshops
Group members who are already in therapy at IPG may utilize their insurance in-network (if applicable) to help cover their additional participation in group therapy. New clients who wish to use insurance will have a full intake session with our group leaders beforehand.
Alternatively, clients may pay our regular reduced rate of $45 per group session, without using insurance. Participants are generally expected to attend all group sessions unless they cancel their spot for that week with at least 24 hours notice.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
At IPG, the preparation sessions prior to the Ketamine dosing session, as well as the follow-up (Integration) sessions after the dosing session are all covered by insurance much like regular therapy sessions. You would pay your normal copay or coinsurance.
The Dosing session itself is three hours long and is not able to be billed to insurance. The cost for that is $450, whether it is in-person or through telehealth.
The number of Dosing sessions a KAP treatment will entail is between 3 to 8, depending on your needs.
The medical evaluation conducted prior to your treatment is covered by most insurances. Without insurance, Journey Clinical charges $250 for the initial evaluation and $150 for the following ongoing appointments.
The cost of the Ketamine medication is separate from the evaluation and therapy services. Based on Journey Clinical’s pricing model, medication generally averages approximately $50–$100 per dose depending on your individualized prescription and treatment plan. Ketamine medication costs are not typically covered by insurance.
Walk and Talk Psychotherapy
Due to the very unique features and benefits of Walk and Talk Therapy, it is not covered by insurance at IPG.
The fees are as follows:
- Walk/Talk Session, up to 45 minutes – $225
- Walk/Talk Session, up to 75 minutes – $300
- Late Cancellation or No Show to Walk/Talk Session – Full fee charged
