About Group

This group is designed to center around understanding depression and anxiety, developing insight into factors contributing to mental health, and learning tools for managing symptoms. These groups discuss the connections between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The goal of this group is to help you learn how to gain control over your mental health and recognize that there are strategies to cope with your emotions, as well as processing feelings underlying your mental health through a safe, non-judgmental group environment.

Participants must also be in individual therapy (either at IPG or elsewhere) in order to attend our groups. If you are not already in therapy, you may additionally fill out our regular new client appointment form, to have you set up with an individual therapist as well.

To proceed with registering for group therapy, click on the link below. After filling out your application expressing interest, we will be in touch with you to fill out the special group therapy consent form and answer any questions you may have, and then connect you with the group leader for an orientation phone call prior to attending your first group.

Group Leader

Kelly Peck is a Licensed Social Worker who treats children, teens and adults. She earned her Master’s Degree at Seton Hall University and comes to Insight having most recently worked with youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges at a residential treatment center in central New Jersey. In therapy, Ms. Peck seeks to create a space for people of all ages and backgrounds to feel safe, connected and heard. Ms. Peck blends different modalities when working with clients which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
